WHITE SANDS HOTEL AND RESORT

LOCATION: On the shores of the Indian Ocean situated on Jangwani Beach, 25 km North of Dar Es Salaam lies the picturesque White Sands Hotel, Resort & Conference Centre, on 1 km of private beach.

The unspoilt beaches of the Swahili coast offer an entirely new experience for the discerning holiday maker. Whether interested in snorkeling or diving, there is an abundance of ocean life to be discovered on the finest coral reefs in East Africa, and looking out across the ocean, you view three islands – in a word, Paradise!

ROOMS & DESCRIPTION: The resort consists of 118 Standard Superior Rooms and 28 Luxury Studios; One & Two Bedroom Self Contained Apartments.

All standard superior rooms are en-suite, air-conditioned, have sea views, satellite television, mini bar fridges, LAN internet connection, ISD telephone lines, room safes, private balconies and tea and coffee making facilities.

The Apartments are available in either Garden or Sea View. On request the Apartments can be equipped with cutlery, crockery, glassware and other cooking utensils for self catering.

We have 3 different types of Apartments:

Studio: One bedroom en-suite, sitting area and kitchenette.

One Bedroom: One bedroom en-suite with a separate lounge and kitchenette.

Two Bedroom: Two bedrooms both en-suite with a separate lounge and kitchenette.

RESTAURANT AND BAR: White Sands is known for its elaborate mix and fusion of International and Local cuisine.

The resort offers 4 restaurants and bars:

Mchanga Cafe & Bar: Our newest bar is situated on the main beach with wonderful sea views of the Indian Ocean and the small outlying islands. A full english breakfast buffet is served here every morning followed by a comprehensive a la carte menu from the freshest seafood to the best quality imported meat. A light lunch and snack menu is also available for the not so hungry.

The Poolside Coffee Shop & Bar: Is right next to our new swimming pool with spectacular views of the beach and ocean giving one of the most picturesque views in Dar es Salaam.

Ruaha Restaurant & Bar: Is our air-conditioned restaurant with its own bar overlooking the gardens. This is a popular choice for private functions.

Kole Kole Restaurant: Is a large thatched open plan restaurant directly on the beach overlooking the ocean. The restaurant has a variety of cuisines and is a very popular wedding venue as well a private function venue.

The resort also organises regular culinary themed dinner buffets under the stars and is well known for its Saturday Evening Seafood Buffet.

OTHER FACILITIES & SERVICES: The resort has regular Live Entertainment performances from local live bands to traditional dancers and lets not forget the clowns and acrobats for the kids. Water sports and a modern gym, massage facilities, sauna and steam room.

CONFERENCE CENTER: White Sands' newly constructed conference centre is one of the finest and most advanced conference centres in East Africa and compares favorably with its European counterparts.
