LOCATION: Lemala Ngorongoro is a deluxe intimate camp set in a delightful ancient acacia forest on the rim of the crater next to the quiet Lemala access route. The camp offers secluded accommodation under canvas in 8 luxury tents and 1 family tent (accommodates 4 to 5 guests).

NB: From June 2010 the camp size reduces to 6 luxury tents and 1 family tent to offer greater privacy for guests.

ROOMS & DESCRIPTION: There are 8 luxury tents and 1 family tent in the private concession to ensure privacy and seclusion. Each tent has 2 large single beds or a king size double bed with thick duvets for warmth and comfort, a heater to warm the tent, and a private bathroom that includes a dressing area, flush toilet, shower and basin with running water.

BAR AND RESTAURANT: The mess area is beautifully furnished with grand sofas, lamps, books and corner cabinets in old wood, chests and rugs. Meals are served al fresco or inside the mess and all guests are invited to sit together with the naturalist at dinner time.

Laundry and house beverages (wine, beer, spirits, soda, water, tea and coffee) are included. Lemala Ngorongoro offers great charm and luxury in a delightful prime location on the rim of the crater.

OTHER FACILITIES & SERVICES: Weather permitting dining takes place al fresco, a lovely forest filled with sounds of wildlife, birds and the bells of Masai cattle. Elephants and buffalo are frequent visitors too.

Ol Moti and Empakaai craters are also easily accessible for optional walks with the Masai. Optional private lunches inside the crater or breakfast with the Masai can be arranged with advance notice.
