Kushiland Expeditions & Tour Safaris Ltd is an established and responsible tour company based at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro. We aim to show you the best that Tanzania has to offer while also playing our role in bringing the benefits from tourism back home to support our local communities on Kilimanjaro. We offer you the opportunity to join us in this aim. Kilimanjaro is for many the ‘ultimate challenge'. Now we offer you our visitors and mountain enthusiasts another approach to this mountain: we invite you to join hands with us in supporting our local community to help themselves and in being part of our development here at Kilimanjaro, thus bringing about the changes our community is striving for. Kilimanjaro, the Ultimate Challenge: walk to the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro on one of its major routes: from Marangu (the easiest route with accommodation in the huts) or on the Machame Route (the whisky route with accommodation in tents). And in doing so, help us to raise funds to support education in our community. Kilimanjaro, the Ultimate Challenge, is an annual event organised every July and mark its peak on 23 rd July. It intends to benefit the schools and villages on the slopes of the Mount Kilimanjaro, [- the tourism role of giving back the wealth of the World heritage to the native of Kilimanjaro.] From the cost of the trip for each participant in Kilimanjaro - the Ultimate Challenge 60% will go towards: · Revolving funds to enable parents to pay school fees for their children at Marlex Secondary Schools, and Uparo Secondary School. · Provision of desks and classrooms in Yam Makaa and Nanga Primary Schools. · Support for local communities in building extra classrooms and toilet facilities in these schools. · Support for local vocational initiatives as educational alternatives to formal secondary education. 1.
