Tanzania is also a country well blessed with fascinating rural areas where you can experience the real Afrikan life with its various cultural diversities while enjoying the beautiful scenery of green mountains and wide plains. The core idea of this program is to empower local our men and women to organize tour in the area where they live, showing tourists various facets of their daily life and culture.

At the foot of the free standing mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro which roofs our lovely continent Afrika, lies the little beautiful Chagga towns of Marangu (derived from two Chagga words “Mora” and “Ng'u” (which means Running water) and Mamba. A day walking tour will take you through the valleys and waterfalls depicting mountain village life.

Walking on the slopes of the Mount Kilimanjaro (KIPO! as common known to Chagga) will lead you to panoramic viewpoints ideal for photographing waterfalls of Kinukamori, Moongo and Mteshani (an idea places for Nature Lovers to prove that “Silent” and “Listen” have the

same letters) and Mount Kilimanjaro.

It will give you a chance to pass historical sites of Clan wars and ancient legends including the large caves used for hiding and protecting women and children during Chagga – Maasai wars; and gives you an opportunity to experience Chagga culture with a visit to a traditional Chagga house. And for mountain climbing enthusiasts will be delighted to the home of and memorial of the late Yohani Kinyala Lauwo, a Marangu native who accompanied Dr. Hans Meyer on the first recorded climb of Kilimanjaro in 1889 at the age of eighteen (18) years.
